Community Code of Conduct

Why this community exists

The Personal Pie Chart® starts as a private exercise. You look honestly at where your time and energy go, and you decide where they go next. That work is easier with company.

This community brings together people who have read the book and are doing the work. They are like-minded in what matters: they want a fuller life, they are willing to look at the hard slices, and they want to see others succeed. Members are at every stage. Some are drawing their first chart. Some have been shifting wedges for years.

What you share here is often personal. A stalled career. A strained marriage. A body that needs attention. Faith, money, loneliness, joy. People share these things only where they feel safe and respected. These rules protect that.

The rules

1. No stalking

Do not follow, track, contact or monitor another member against their wishes, on this site or off it. Do not collect or share anyone's personal details, location or photos. If someone asks you to stop contacting them, stop.

2. No personal attacks

Disagree with ideas and leave the person out of it. No insults, name-calling, threats, harassment or pile-ons. No attacks on anyone's race, religion, gender, age, disability, orientation or background.

3. Keep profanity to a minimum

Strong language now and then is human. Directing it at someone, or using it to shock, crosses the line. Keep posts readable for everyone.

4. Be truthful and constructive

Share your real experience. Do not post false claims or invented stories. When you disagree or give feedback, offer something useful the other person can act on.

5. Assume positive intent

Read other members' posts in the most generous reasonable way. Most people are trying. Ask a question before you assume the worst.

6. What is shared here stays here

Do not copy, screenshot or repost another member's words, charts or story outside the community without their permission. Share your own story as you wish.

7. Protect the people in your story

When you write about a spouse, child, boss or friend, leave out names and details that would identify them. They did not join this community.

8. No selling or recruiting

No ads, affiliate links, coaching pitches, MLM offers or unsolicited direct messages to sell. Mentioning a book, tool or resource that helped you is fine when it is relevant and you gain nothing from it.

9. Share experience, not professional advice

Members are not doctors, therapists, lawyers or financial advisors here, even if they are in real life. Share what worked for you. For medical, mental health, legal or financial decisions, see a qualified professional.

10. Keep it on topic and in the right place

Post in the category that fits. Search before starting a new thread. Use Ask Clayton for questions about the framework itself.

If someone is in crisis

This community is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services. In the US, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. If a post worries you, report it so a moderator can respond.

How we enforce it

  • New members' first two posts are reviewed before they appear.
  • Use the Report button on any post that breaks these rules. Reports go to the moderators and stay confidential.
  • Moderators may edit, hide or remove posts, lock threads, and mute or ban members. Serious or repeated violations lead to removal from the community.
  • Moderators use judgment. A post can break the spirit of these rules without breaking the letter.
  • Every moderation action is logged.
